Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 September 2026
By using the bölüştür app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. The parties
These terms are between Raci Eren Denizoğlu, an individual developer ("we"), and you, the person using the app ("you").

2. What the service is — the most important clause
bölüştür is a record-keeping app that tracks shared expenses and calculates who owes what to whom.
No money moves through the app.
To be explicit about what that means:
- bölüştür is not a bank, a payment institution, or an electronic money institution
- It does not hold, store, or transfer your money
- It does not intermediate payments and does not guarantee them
- It does not verify whether a payment was actually made
The app only displays an IBAN and lets you copy it. You make the payment from your own banking app. You then return to the app and mark it as paid.
Marking something as paid in the app is not proof that payment was made. It only records that a user said so. Proof of an actual payment is your bank record.
3. Debts between users are not our concern
Any debt between people using the app is entirely between those people. bölüştür is not a party to it.
- We are not responsible if someone fails to pay you
- We are not responsible for payments sent to an incorrect IBAN
- Balances shown in the app do not constitute a legal instrument of debt
- We do not intervene in disputes between users
4. Accounts and age limit
You must be 18 or over to use the app. This is because the app involves sharing bank account details and recording debts between individuals.
You are responsible for providing accurate information. In particular:
- The accuracy of your IBAN is your responsibility. If you enter the wrong IBAN, people trying to pay you may send money to someone else. That is on you.
- Protecting access to your account is your responsibility. Anyone with access to your sign-in email can access your account.
5. Prohibited uses
You may not use the app to:
- Mislead others or create false expense records
- Impersonate another person
- Enter an IBAN that is not yours
- Keep records of unlawful activity
- Mount technical attacks against the app, its infrastructure, or other users
- Reverse engineer the app
- Extract data in bulk using automated tools
We reserve the right to close accounts that breach these rules.
6. Records cannot be changed
Once an expense is recorded it cannot be deleted or edited. This is not an oversight but a deliberate design decision: the expense is not only your financial record but that of everyone who shared it. Deleting it would corrupt their balances.
The same applies to a recorded settlement: it cannot be reversed.
Be careful when entering records.
7. Currency
The app operates in Turkish Lira (₺) only. Multiple currencies are not supported.
8. Availability
The app is provided as is. We do not warrant that:
- It will operate without interruption
- It will be free of errors
- Data will never be lost under any circumstances
We may modify, restrict or discontinue the service, with or without prior notice. If we shut it down entirely, we will try to give you reasonable time to retrieve your data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost data, or financial disputes between users arising from use of the app.
This limitation does not cover wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
10. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. The scope and limits of that deletion are explained in section 8 of the Privacy Policy — in short, your personal details are erased, but expense records remain because they affect other people's balances.
11. Intellectual property
The app itself, its design, name and logo belong to the developer. The data you enter belongs to you.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. The current version is always on this page and the date above is updated. For significant changes we will notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes.
For consumers resident in the European Union, the mandatory provisions of your own country's consumer law are reserved.
